dr n. med. Radosław Maksym
Dr Radosław Maksym, MD, PhD, graduated in medicine from the Medical University of Warsaw. In the next stage of his academic career, he conducted research into the aetiopathogenesis of endometriosis at the CRNS in France as part of the International Doctoral Programme. He defended his doctoral thesis with distinction, obtaining a PhD in medical sciences at the elite School of Molecular Medicine at the Centre for Biostructure of the Medical University of Warsaw. He undertook his specialist training, with particular emphasis on surgical gynaecology and minimally invasive techniques, at the Department of Gynaecological Oncology at the Institute of Medical Research.
He gained experience during numerous domestic and international courses and research placements, including in Verona, Cologne, Orléans, Hamburg, Zagreb, Budapest, Prague and Münster. Through his academic and research and development work, he has made a significant contribution to the advancement of medical science, which led to him being awarded the degree of habilitated doctor by the Scientific Council of the Centre for Postgraduate Medical Education.
In his current clinical and research practice, Dr Radosław Maksym, PhD, focuses on the multi-level optimisation of treatment for infertility and endometriosis, using the latest therapeutic methods. In addition to significant advances in surgical techniques using laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, he employs conservative, hormonal and immunological treatments, and is a pioneer in the use of oil contrast for the treatment of endometriosis, as well as ‘ultrasound surgery’ using High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU), which is particularly useful in the treatment of uterine fibroids. He emphasises a personalised approach to patients and tailoring treatment to their needs, whilst adhering to the principles of evidence-based medicine (EBM).

Midwife, specialist in gynaecological-obstetric and family nursing, Assistant Professor at the Department of Reproductive Health and Sexology, Medical University of Silesia in Katowice. She is involved in the training of students in midwifery, nursing and physiotherapy.
Author of numerous publications on women’s health, reproductive health, sexology and the care of patients with disabilities.
She is developing her interests in scientific and clinical research into modern diagnostic methods and technological innovations dedicated to women’s health.
