AI is better than a mediocre doctor, but never as good as an outstanding one

We invite you to read our CEO’s article in Mam Startup, an online magazine for the start-up ecosystem, on the role of AI in healthcare.

There are probably very few start-ups left that do not rely on artificial intelligence (AI) or some form of machine learning (ML) in their innovation. The use of AI seems to be a ‘must-have’ for investors when assessing potential. And for innovators, AI is the bread and butter of their work.

Depending on the nature of the work and the problem being solved, AI takes on various definitions: from mathematical and statistical machine learning (ML) algorithms, neural networks, time series analysis and probabilistic analysis to natural language processing and data clustering. In practice, when you have sufficient data, computing power and an implemented algorithm, virtually any multi-factor analysis can be treated as an AI analysis.
