MY OVU in Forbes! 25 of the most promising start-ups promoting sexual health and education
There are all sorts of business features, but this one really stirs the emotions.
And it’s happened!
MY OVU has been featured in the latest issue of Forbes Women Polska (4/2025) – and, importantly, not as an advert, but as part of an expert, in-depth feature.
That’s a huge difference. And a huge step forward.
A list that really matters
MY OVU has been recognised in the ranking of the 25 most promising FemTech start-ups in Poland.
What is most impressive is not just the fact that we’re on the list, but:
- selection criteria
- selection panel
- the community we find ourselves in
The selection was made by people such as:
- Katarzyna Dębek
- Anja Rubik
- Ana Wolsztajn
- Piotr Zając
- Małgorzata Durska
- Jagoda Zakrzewska
This is important because it shows one thing:
FemTech is no longer a niche – it is starting to be taken seriously.
FemTech isn’t just a trend. It’s a response to real needs
One thing comes across very clearly in Piotr Zieliński’s article:
FemTech isn’t a single technology or a single business model.
It’s an entire field that has emerged because, for years:
women’s health needs were under-diagnosed
data was incomplete
solutions were designed to be ‘one-size-fits-all’, which often meant they were ill-suited
And that is precisely why this list is so diverse.
Because it brings together projects that:
solve different problems
operate in different areas
but share a common goal: to genuinely support women’s health
A start-up is one challenge. FemTech is another
There’s no point sugar-coating it.
Building a start-up is difficult.
Building a start-up in FemTech is even harder.
Why?
Because on top of the ‘standard’ challenges, there are:
educating the market from scratch
breaking taboos
explaining why it’s needed at all
fighting for credibility in the health sector
Just a few years ago, many people reacted to MY OVU with the question: “Who needs that?”
Today, the same solution features in lists of the country’s most promising projects. This shows just how much attitudes are changing.
This isn’t just our success
The greatest satisfaction?
Not just from the award itself.
But from the fact that:
the list includes projects we know
we talk to
we support
Because at FemTech, we really often feel that: the game is on
What does this mean?
This kind of recognition is not just a “nice gesture”.
It’s a sign that:
women’s health is entering the mainstream
there is a need for technology in this area
the market is beginning to understand the value of data and cycle tracking
And that means one thing:
we’re only just getting started.
So what’s next?
For MY OVU, this is a moment that:
confirms the direction we’re heading in
gives us even greater motivation
but also… raises the bar
Because if something is starting to get noticed, it has to be even better.
And that’s exactly what we’re focusing on right now.
