A Breakthrough in Fertility Monitoring

A Breakthrough in Fertility Monitoring

Can Modern Technologies Revolutionize the Diagnosis of Fertility Disorders and Family Planning?

Answering the question - Absolutely yes! In the following article, we explore the issues and new methods of cycle observation.

One of the most critical stages of the menstrual cycle is ovulation, and more specifically, knowing the exact moment it occurs. This information allows for the identification of the most fertile days in the cycle, thereby increasing the chances of successful conception. Additionally, monitoring ovulation can help detect health problems related to the menstrual cycle and hormones, enabling quicker detection and treatment of potential disorders. For women using natural contraception methods, accurate ovulation information is essential for effectively avoiding pregnancy.

Home methods for detecting ovulation include:

  • Ovulation tests - measuring the luteinizing hormone (LH) in urine,
  • Monitoring cervical mucus,
  • Measuring basal body temperature (BBT) in the morning.

Unfortunately, none of these methods, in their traditional forms, are 100% sufficient and reliable. Ovulation tests (LH) are costly over prolonged use and can give false positives in women with naturally high LH levels. They are also ineffective for women with irregular cycles. Monitoring cervical mucus requires self-discipline and can be subjective, with infections or medications potentially affecting its appearance. It also involves regular observations and skill in interpretation. Measuring basal body temperature requires daily, regular measurements at the same time, right after waking up (before getting out of bed). These methods either do not provide precise information about the exact moment of ovulation or are so cumbersome that cycle observation using them is nearly impossible. Is there a solution to this?

Addressing these issues is the device MY OVU - an ordinary yet extraordinary ovulation thermometer.

What Makes It a Potential Revolutionary Among Ovulation Detection Methods?

It is a vaginal thermometer in the form of a silicone ring. To take a measurement in the evening, it is placed in the vagina so that its sides adhere to the mucous membrane, and then you can go to sleep. The materials from which the thermometer is made and its shape ensure safety and comfort during sleep. Additionally, this form eliminates the strongest argument against the BBT method as the best for detecting ovulation, which is the necessity of waking up regularly to take the measurement at the same time right after waking up.

The intelligent and highly sensitive thermometer monitors temperature changes throughout the night and then transmits the data to a dedicated app. Based on the average measurements, the app can very accurately indicate the moment of ovulation in the current cycle and predict this moment for the next cycle.

This method has been met with great interest and enthusiasm among women who have tried various cycle monitoring methods and are still searching for better solutions for many reasons. But it's not just that research on the functioning of the thermometer is also gaining popularity in the scientific community!

In May of this year, the 21st World Congress of Gynecology and Endocrinology was held in Florence, Italy. During the event, 350 presentations from over 75 countries were showcased, including a presentation by the Polish delegation on the results of months of observation and meticulous analysis of measurement data from our testers. The findings indicate a clear superiority of the MY OVU device over traditional ovulation thermometers.

During measurements with a traditional ovulation thermometer, detecting the moment of ovulation failed in 45% of the analyzed cycles, which were successfully identified by the MY OVU device. The measurement error with MY OVU was +/- 1 day, compared to +/- 4 to +/- 9 days with traditional thermometers. User experiences with MY OVU indicate that the measurement method is not cumbersome, allowing it to be used successfully over a longer period.

The introduction of modern technologies can revolutionize the diagnosis of fertility disorders and family planning. The MY OVU device, an innovative vaginal thermometer, represents a breakthrough in detecting ovulation, offering a more precise and convenient solution compared to traditional methods. We encourage you to follow further developments!
